A reliable compression connection begins with compatible parts and careful preparation.
Before You Start
Shut off the supply and relieve pressure. Confirm that the valve is approved for the pipe material, size, and application. Boshart specifies support inserts for PEX and PE-RT connections covered by its instructions.
Prepare and Connect
Cut the pipe square and remove burrs. Keep the sealing area clean and undamaged. Assemble the specified components in the correct order and seat the pipe fully. Tighten according to the product’s instructions; excessive force can damage the connection.
Check the Finished Installation
Keep the piping aligned and supported. Restore pressure gradually and inspect for leaks. Never attempt to adjust a pressurized connection. If you are unsure about compatibility or assembly, use a qualified installer.
