Important Information About This Free Water Screening

This is a preliminary, treatment-oriented screening—not a certified laboratory analysis or a determination that water is safe to drink.

Aqua Science's free water test is a preliminary water-quality screening intended to identify common conditions that may affect water appearance, taste, odor, plumbing, appliances, and the selection or sizing of water-treatment equipment.

This free screening is not a certified laboratory analysis, is not intended for regulatory, real-estate, medical, legal, or compliance purposes, and must not be used to determine whether water is safe or unsafe to drink.

The free screening does not provide a complete analysis of all possible contaminants. Unless specifically stated in writing, it does not test for total coliform bacteria, E. coli, fecal contamination, viruses, Giardia, Cryptosporidium, Cyclospora, PFAS/PFOS, arsenic, uranium, radon, lead, pesticides, volatile organic compounds, pharmaceuticals, or other biological, chemical, or radiological contaminants.

Any nitrate result provided through the free screening is preliminary and should be confirmed by a state-certified drinking-water laboratory before making health, treatment, real-estate, or drinking-water decisions.

“Bacteria” testing under this free service refers only to an iron-bacteria screening, when included. Iron bacteria are not the same as total coliform bacteria or E. coli, and an iron-bacteria result does not determine whether water is microbiologically safe to drink.

Test results apply only to the sample submitted and may be affected by sample collection, storage, shipping time, water-system conditions, recent treatment, and changes in the water source. Aqua Science does not independently verify that the sample was collected correctly or that it represents the water supply under all operating conditions.

Customers concerned about drinking-water safety, illness, flooding, sewage or septic contamination, a damaged well, positive bacteria results, pregnancy or infant use, or a real-estate transaction should obtain testing from a state-certified drinking-water laboratory and consult the appropriate health authority.

Aqua Science may provide general treatment guidance based on the submitted sample and information supplied by the customer. Such guidance is not medical advice, a guarantee of water potability, or a guarantee that any treatment system will remove contaminants that were not specifically tested and confirmed.

Urgent water-safety concern? Do not drink water suspected of contamination while waiting for appropriate certified laboratory results. Contact your state or local health department for urgent drinking-water safety guidance.
