Pro-Res Care Liquid Resin Cleaner is formulated to chemically clean fouled water softener resin beds and help restore resin exchange capacity. Regular use helps minimize iron and other contaminant fouling that can affect softener performance, while helping extend resin life. This 1 quart liquid phosphoric acid mixture is suitable for most water-softening resins and is not for use with Gel Zeolite materials.

What problems can resin fouling cause?
Iron fouling can contribute to channeling, pressure drop, loss of capacity, hardness, and iron leakage.
How is it used for a fouled unit?
Pour 4 oz. per cu. ft. directly into the brine well, or into the salt tank when salt is low if there is no brine well, then manually regenerate the softener.
How is it used for regular maintenance?
Add 1/2 oz. per cu. ft. to the brine well before each regeneration.
What should I do if taste, odor, or discoloration is detected after treatment?
Repeat regeneration if needed, then run a cold soft water tap nearest the softener until the odor or taste is gone.
Can it be used with automatic feeder systems?
Yes. Follow the dosage and feed rates recommended by the feeder system manufacturer or supplier.
Is this cleaner compatible with all water-softening resins?
It is suitable for most water-softening resins, but it should not be used with Gel Zeolite materials.
