The Goulds J10 jet pump is a 1 HP double nose, self-priming well jet pump built for reliable water delivery from private wells. It fits homeowners, farmers, cottage owners, and agricultural users who need steady water for potable water systems, irrigation, livestock, or booster service.

It is designed with self-priming ability for shallow well use up to 25 feet, and after initial priming it can re-prime if air enters the system thanks to its excellent air handling ability. With proper fittings this convertible jet can also serve deep well application, using a jet body placed 10–20 feet below water level to create the lift needed in deep well operation, though system performance depends on configuration, water level, and pressure settings, and many homeowners rely on expert technical support for selecting suitable water pumps when designing or upgrading their systems. Shallow well installation is simpler, while deep well setups require more piping, a 1.25-inch NPT suction pipe, corrosion-resistant tubing and fittings, and a reliable foot valve at the bottom; compatible plastic tubing and fittings or engineered plastic tubing may be used where appropriate for the system. Its Convertible Jet design allows one pipe shallow well use with an integral shallow well jet and built-in nozzle, so no separate shallow well adapter is needed, or deep well configuration with the jet body and appropriate Goulds Pumps fittings for dependable suction and easy re prime.

This cast iron pump features a back pullout design that makes maintenance easier because it can be serviced without disturbing piping, and a nozzle clean access plug helps simplify service without disturbing piping, along with a two-compartment motor for safe electrical access, a built-in shallow well jet, corrosion-resistant construction. Replaceable components are easily removed for service access.

It includes a factory-preset 30-50 PSI pressure switch as part of the pumping system. The unit is powered for continuous operation and can be operated continuously without damage when pump ratings are within the motor manufacturer's recommended working limits, helping the protected mechanical seal avoid run dry conditions during operation. The pump should be mounted securely to minimize vibration, is rated to 140°F, and uses a corrosion-resistant stainless steel casing built for abrasive conditions and extended performance. A stainless wear ring and guide vane help maintain alignment and improve wear resistance.
