Boshart WTCC-C05 is a 5-inch cast iron locking well cap designed for a watertight, tamper-resistant installation. A wide gasket creates a positive compression seal between the well casing and cap, while a deep pocket helps seal unevenly cut casings up to 1-1/2 inches from the top. Two large screened air vents provide a vermin-proof design, and the cap offers increased clearance for submersible pump cable. Lock not included.

Installation Tips

Installation Brief

This 5-inch locking well cap installs over the well casing and uses a five-bolt compression design to create a watertight seal.

  1. Make sure the top of the well casing is clean and ready for the cap.
  2. Place the cap onto the 5-inch well casing.
  3. Align the cap so the gasket seats properly and the cable clearance is maintained if used.
  4. Tighten the five bolts evenly to compress the gasket and form the seal.
  5. If desired, add a lock to the locking feature. Lock is not included.
