Engineered Polymer Bearings: The proprietary, engineered polymer bearing material is strong and resistant to abrasion and wear. The enclosed upper bearing is mounted in a durable Noryl® bearing spider for excellent abrasion resistance.
Important: Any well with a high static water level may allow the pump to operate off the curve and outside its recommended range. We recommend using a "Dole" flow restriction valve to throttle the pump to prevent upthrust damage to the pump and motor. The maximum flow must be restricted to within the pumps recommended operating range.

Goulds 18GS15422C is a 4 inch stainless steel submersible well pump rated for 18 GPM with a 1.5 HP, 230V, 1-phase, 2-wire motor. This GS Series pump is built for continuous operation and features a sand-handling floating impeller stack, polished stainless steel casing, cast 303 stainless steel discharge head, and a built-in check valve. The 2-wire design does not require a control box.
This 4 inch 2-wire submersible well pump should be installed according to the Goulds GS Series instructions and matched to the correct 230V single-phase power supply.
Confirm the pump model, 230V single-phase power, and 2-wire configuration match the installation requirements.
Select copper wire size based on the distance from the service entrance to the motor.
Use the cast-in safety line loops provided on the discharge head during pump placement.
Connect the pump as a 2-wire unit and complete discharge piping with the built-in check valve in place.
If the well has a high static water level, restrict maximum flow to keep operation within the recommended range.
