It's a total softener treatment that eliminates the need for your customers to use water softener salt that contains costly additives. Every softener should use Softener Mate as part of a routine maintenance program. Regular use with regular water softener salt promotes efficient performance.
Applications
First Application: Dissolve 1 cup of Softener Mate in 1 qt. of warm water. Pour directly into the brine well. (Softeners with no brine well, pour directly into salt storage tank when salt level is low.) Manually regenerate softener. Repeat for heavily fouled units.
Preventative Maintenance: Add 1/4 cup for every 40 lbs. of salt added to the salt storage tank. Layer to ensure a continuous dose of Softener Mate with each regeneration. Water softeners on high iron-bearing water should use Rust Out®.
